Check before sending.

  1. 01

    Confirm the recipient

Contact the recipient through a familiar channel. Verify names and the receiving destination; do not change details solely because of an unexpected message.

  2. 02

    Look at the whole amount

Ask about the amount sent, sending fee, exchange rate if relevant and possible recipient charges. Compare what the recipient will actually receive.

  3. 03

    Confirm timing and requirements

Ask about expected timing, collection method and required documents. Use an authorised provider and verify its contact information.

  4. 04

    Keep transaction evidence

Keep the reference and enquiry channel. Confirm receipt before including money in a plan; do not immediately send again because a notification is late.

Ask Birunga first

  • Does Birunga or an approved partner offer a service for sending or receiving money?
  • If available, what fees, currencies, limits and requirements apply?
  • How can I follow up a delayed, failed or incorrectly directed transaction?
Prepare your questions

This website does not send or receive money. The page does not confirm any particular Birunga service; check with the institution before making a transaction.
