Welcoming guests

Welcome guests.
Know your costs.

If you prepare a small guesthouse, meals or another hospitality activity in Musanze, connect thoughtful service with clear records.

Before, during and after a visit.

  1. 01

    Confirm the arrangement

Record the service, date, guest count, price and what is included. Agree how changes or cancellations will be discussed before accepting money.

  2. 02

    Prepare what you will need

List food, cleaning, water, supplies and help. Separate costs per guest from costs shared across the activity.

  3. 03

    Record each payment

Distinguish confirmed arrangements, advance payments, outstanding amounts and refunds. Money received is not all profit: you still have a service to deliver.

  4. 04

    Review the actual visit

Compare receipts with actual costs afterwards. Note overruns and what you will change next time; avoid assuming the same number of guests every week.

Questions for the SACCO

  • Which approved payment-receiving methods are available, and what do they cost?
  • Which documents are needed for an account suited to my activity?
  • How can I follow incoming payments, refunds and their records?
Prepare your questions

A money plan does not replace requirements for operating your activity. Confirm services and fees with the SACCO and other requirements with the responsible authorities.
