Your value chain

Your value chain.
Connect the work.

In farming, tourism, crafts and trade, money moves between several people. A value-chain map helps you see costs, payment timing and cash gaps.

See where value starts and money moves.

  1. 01

    Map the chain

List suppliers, production, transport, sellers and the final customer, showing how they connect.

  2. 02

    Separate cost and price

Record materials, labour, transport and other costs before setting a price for the product or service.

  3. 03

    Confirm payment timing

Record when the customer pays, any advance and the effect of late payment; ask for terms in writing.

  4. 04

    Plan the cash gap

If income arrives after costs, plan savings, your own contribution and questions for the SACCO.

Questions about the chain

  • Which payment and collection methods are available?
  • How do I fund inputs before I am paid?
  • Which records help show my activity and cash flow?
  • What can I do when a customer pays late?
