Customer payments

Work delivered.
Payments made clear.

When you sell a product or provide a service, clear records help you follow payments received, amounts outstanding and agreed dates.

Give each order its own record.

  1. 01

    Write down the agreement

Describe the product or service, price and payment date. If payment comes in stages, record each stage.

  2. 02

    Confirm money received

Check payment through your official account channel. A screenshot sent by a customer alone does not confirm that money reached your account.

  3. 03

    Match payment to the order

Record the date, amount, payment reference and remaining balance. Do not keep showing a paid amount as still outstanding.

  4. 04

    Follow up respectfully

When a date passes, check the record before contacting the customer. Note the next step you agree; keep unpaid amounts separate from available money.

Questions for Birunga
